Spiritworks, Inc. is a non-profit entity committed to a belief in the creative energy and inherent worth of each individual. We fulfill our mission by combining a balanced vision that incorporates the best from the great traditions of Judeo-Christian life and faith to form our spiritual practices. Spiritworks offers opportunities for spiritual living, study, dialogue, prayer, and educational opportunities for cognitive and spiritual growth.
Philosophy
We believe that a deep commitment to our own religious tradition needs to be balanced with respect for the traditions of others. We welcome people of all faiths to join in our community.
Offerings & Resources
We offer ongoing centering prayer, meditation and yoga, spiritual direction, as well as spirituality forums and seminars. This can also serve people seeking a deeper spiritual dimension to life as well as a refreshing place of entry into the larger faith community.
The Spiritworks Center regularly schedules classes, sessions and gatherings for individuals who want a time for prayer, meditation and reflection for the purpose of nurture and encouragement. We connect with women and men who are on a spiritual journey and are committed to their personal renewal and to one another’s spiritual growth.
Spiritworks also employs practical strategies that utilize such things as small group meetings, conferences, a web site, podcasts, and one, two and three-day seminars, personal and group retreats, the study of the mystics and spirituality, books and resources, and other inspirational tools to remind us of our deeper inner connection to the Spirit and true reverence for life.
Outreach to the Children of Rwanda
Spiritworks is pleased to sponsor direct work with the children of Rwanda, Africa through the work of Hope Made Real. “Mama Arlene” Brown, the founder, is a 76-year-old, who continues to live and work there among the people. Rwanda in 1995 was awash in turmoil. A Genocide took place, which left tens of thousands of children orphaned or homeless. Not orphaned in respect to their parents alone, but orphaned in the respect that no living relative existed to care for them, feed them, teach them.
Go to www.hopemadereal.org for even more information. Every cent donated to RwandaChildren through Spiritworks goes directly to feed, house, and school the children of genocide-recovering Rwanda. And because we are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization you can take a tax credit.

I will be traveling to Rwanda in Mid March, and I was forwarded your information through Ralph Baard. I hope during my trip with People to People that I will have an opportunity to meet Mama Arlene as well as drop off a few gifts for the children. Please let me know if any arrangements need to be made in advance.
My best to you

Hello Patricia,
I received your a message from Arlene on my answering machine. I called her back but got her answering machine as well. When is the best time to call as I am in Toronto and there may be a significant time difference. Best time to reach me is early in the mornings.
Talk to you soon
Trevor
Dear Trevor, Hope you got my e-mail messages. Mama Arlene welcomes all to the children’s home in Rwanda! If you don’t reach her you can give me a ring. Blessed be, Tricia
I had read in the book on Prayer that rosaries were available through this website, as well as kits for making one’s own. Can you help me to find them? Thank you.
May I have permission to use your article on the prayer labyrinth in our parish bulletins to educate our parishioners on the labyrinth? We would credit SpiritWorks as the source of the information. Do you have a phone number to contact you at?
Dear Ruth, Yes, my writing is God’s gift to me… so I now gift it onto you. The only times I am unable to give permissions is when I am published by Abingdon or Jossey-Bass. Did you also see the small pocket card that can be printed out to be given to walker/prayers? Blessings, Tricia
